Championship week in the Wizard Redraft League delivered exactly what the playoffs are supposed to: pressure, momentum swings, and legacies decided under the lights. With three-tiered brackets wrapping up, WRL crowned a World Champion along with Tier 2 and Tier 3 title holders—each with their own defining storyline.
Tier 1 Championship: Turd Ferguson Completes the Comeback, Wins WRL Title
The Tier 1 Finals carried the biggest stakes and the brightest spotlight, and it was a finish that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
Defending champion Teds Lasso entered Monday night with control of the matchup, holding a lead and rolling out three players still left to play. On paper, it looked safe. Across the field, Turd Ferguson had just one player remaining, needing something special to flip the script.
That’s exactly what happened.
Teds Lasso’s three Monday night players combined for just 19.76 points, leaving the door open. Turd Ferguson’s lone player stepped through it—exploding for 43.40 points and swinging the championship in one decisive blow.
When the dust settled: Turd Ferguson 162.22 - Teds Lasso 145.74.
With that comeback, Turd Ferguson is your WRL World Champion, capturing the league’s main bracket and the biggest prize of the season. A Red Dragons powerhouse all year, Turd Ferguson sealed the title with patience, timing, and one perfectly placed hammer on Monday night.
Tier 2 Championship: War Birds Finish Strong
In the Tier 2 Finals, War Birds delivered a steady, controlled performance to secure the consolation crown.
Facing the NY Jackets, War Birds built and maintained separation throughout the matchup, ultimately winning: 128.38-107.30.
It was a clean championship win and a strong closing statement for a team that navigated its way through the Tier 2 bracket with confidence.
Tier 3 Championship: Coolidge Scorpions Overpower Northern Nightmares
The Tier 3 title game turned into a showcase for offensive firepower, as the Coolidge Scorpions overwhelmed the Northern Nightmares.
Northern Nightmares needed a big showing from their defense, but it never materialized. Coolidge took advantage, piling up points and pulling away decisively. The final score was Coolidge Scorpions 214 - Northern Nightmares 176.
With that win, the Scorpions claim the Tier 3 championship and cap off a playoff run defined by scoring punch and momentum.
