The road to a WRL championship narrowed dramatically this week as semifinal matchups across all three tiers delivered decisive results and set the stage for Championship Week. With every remaining team now one win away from a title, the WRL postseason has officially reached its most intense point.
Tier 1 Semifinals: Heavyweights Advance
The Tier 1 semifinals wasted no time separating contenders from pretenders.
Turd Ferguson delivered the most dominant performance of the round, overwhelming the Monarchs 202–128. In a matchup that never truly tilted, Turd Ferguson asserted control early and never looked back, punching their ticket to the WRL Finals with authority.
On the other side of the bracket, Teds Lasso ended the season-long run of THE Ohio River Monsters with a convincing 156–130 win. Facing the league’s most consistent team all year, Teds Lasso rose to the moment once again, dismantling the Monsters and proving that last season’s championship run was no fluke.

For Teds Lasso, it’s a second straight trip to the WRL Finals. For Turd Ferguson, it’s a chance to cap a powerful postseason surge with a championship.
Tier 2 Semifinals: New Blood Steps Forward
Tier 2 saw a blend of clutch execution and explosive scoring.
The NY Jackets claimed the tightest path to advancement, dispatching the Rochester Rabbits 153–119. While the score suggests comfort, the Jackets methodically pulled away over the course of the matchup to secure their place in the finals.
Meanwhile, the War Birds put together one of the most eye-opening performances of the week, crushing Groot 212–162. The offensive output was relentless, and the message was clear: the War Birds are peaking at exactly the right time.

Tier 3 Semifinals: Statement Wins Across the Board
Tier 3 delivered fireworks of its own, led by the Coolidge Scorpions, who dismantled the Epidemic Elephants 205–127. It was a complete performance and one of the most lopsided playoff wins at any tier this week.
The Northern Nightmares followed with a strong showing of their own, knocking out the Roaring Lions 148–117 to secure the other finals berth.
